چکیده

This paper presents a new integral control law for a boost converter that ensures the stability of large-signal operation. The integral controller is derived in two steps by means of passivitybased control theory. First, a static law, which ensures global stability, is obtained. Secondly, a combination of the storage function of this static law and a new positive semidefinite storage function results in a new integral control law. The proposed regulator satisfies the usual transient specifications and behaves robustly for parameter uncertainty. Global stability is guaranteed even if the duty cycle saturation is taken into account. Simulation and experimental results verify the theoretical predictions.

Voltage Regulation and Stability Analysis of a Photovoltaic System with a Boost Converter Interface

A main control task in photovoltaic (PV) power generation is the output voltage stabilization under varying irradiation or load changes. Taking into account the input voltage nonlinear dependence from the input current of a PV system as well as the nonlinear dynamics of a DC/DC boost converter, an appropriate PI controller is proposed. To this end, the passivity-based control analysis as it has...

An estimation of large-signal stability for the bilinear DC-DC converters

An approach to the analysis of large-signal stability of a Boost converter via the small-signal loop gains is presented. The large-signal stable region of the small-signal designed bilinear Boost converter is estimated in light of the Input-output stability concept. By doing so, the effects of small-signals on large-signal stability are revealed. The effectiveness of the presented approach is v...

A Feedback Passivation Design for DC Microgrid and Its DC/DC Converters

Abstract: There are difficulties in analyzing the stability of microgrids since they are located on various network structures. However, considering that the network often consists of passive elements, the passivity theory is applied in this paper to solve the above-mentioned problem. It has been formerly shown that when the network is weakly strictly positive real (WSPR), the DC microgrid is s...
